well, well, well. Pat's is her chi-chi. David Letterman could have looked at us, on the front row of the Oscars, and said, "hoo-hoo, chi-chi, hoo-hoo, chi-chi, hoo-hoo, chi-chi" and he probably would have been invited back. it was the oprah, uma that got his butt kicked out.

Well I had hoped this problem would have been solved... I took the medication that was perscribed took the baking soda baths like the doctor told me. My boyfriend and I tried having sex this weekend and well it was as painful as ever. I ended up crying because I want to have sex so badly and it's VERY frustrating... I just don't know what to do. I'm afraid I'm going to die :/ please help

Please go back to the dr. It is possible that there were two issues and they only discovered the one. I know how scary it is as I too feel the same way but sometimes it is necessary. Please go back and find out what is going on. Take care. I know you will find the strength to go.

Spazzkat, I think that would have been an oatmeal bath, to help soothe the itching?

Did your doctor say anything about NOT having relations yet? What about endometriosis? I'm missing something here, sorry. Women's sexual health question (may be graphic 18+ please)

Spazkatt,

I'm so sorry you're still struggling with this. I'm glad your boyfriend is so sensitive and caring. And having to go back to the doctor is no fun.

I have a similar problem. The main issue, I think, is lack of lubrication, since more than one of my meds can cause dryness. But sex has been painful, at least at first, for so long, that I get all anxious about it, even when we use lubrication right from the get-go. So in my case, it's part physiological and part psychological.

When I saw my doc about it, she recommended trying different types of lubrication, including butter! (haven't been able to bring myself to try that). And she ran tests for all kinds of STD's just to check. My pain is similar to yours, though. I always feel as if my husband hasn't trimmed his fingernails when he uses his fingers, whether they are short or not.

We're trying now to experiment with different positions, different techniqes, etc. But it's frustrating for everyone involved.

I hope you find some relief soon.

gg

She said to wait a week and we waited 2 weeks. What is endometriosis? It wasn't oatmeal it was baking soda, because she gave me a specific recipe on how to mix the bath.

BUTTER!?

That doc and I would not get along. one of the things that all gynos and physicians have told me is use siliva or an approved lube like Ky. You can find info on all kinds of lubes and information on Sue Johanson's (a canadian nurse and school health teacher) website called talksexwithsue.com she also has a tv show called talk sex with sue on oxygen that has great womens sexual health information and resources.

Ok she recommended a SECOND dose... I waited a week and a half after that and STILL it's painful... I called today and I only was able to talk to a nurse. She wasn't sure what would be the problem. Apparently I had a yeast infection AND a bacterial infection, supposedly the medication was supposed to clear up BOTH. PLUS my STD tests are ALL negative. It's sooo frustrating especially when you have to wait for THEM to freaking call you back... there isn't a DIRECT line GRAH!!! I'm sooooo nervous/worried/upset... what if I have some sort of cancer????

I am sorry you are freaking I cannot go to chat but I told ya before and I know my medical stuff that if your doc didnt put him on Diflucan that you may not get rid of it. Also you may as I think I said before be allergic to the rubbers....Did she culure it to see what kinda yeast it is?
You may need to see another doc and sometimes more pills may be needed with a hard case...Also kill all sugar for a while....yeast feeds off sugar...kill the white bread and pasta too till this clears

Awww no tears it will work out sometimes it just takes a long time...and you can get rid of it and get it back...I would have him on a med for it even if he doesnt show it on a culture...though sadly most docs do not do cultures much anymore and SHOULD...they need to be sure what type of yeast..Are you by any chance overweight or diabetic??? If so it will take longer to rid of the yeast....pm me if you want..I cannot get in chat

sometimes if the person has had trauma such as they were raped or other sexual abuse it hurts to have sex because the person even though they are interested and wants it to happen they fear having intercourse so they either consciously or unconsciously tighten up whch causes paiful after effects - sore internal muscles bruising and so on. If the person uses douching between periods without recommendation from a doctor they are distroying the helpful normal organisms and ph level that normally kills bacteria that gets in. So the person goes through frequent and painful yeast infections just as fast as one is gone another takes up residence because the ph level needed to fight them is gone. The same with those frequent bathers that clean by allowing the shower to spray right on in so to speak ( this also causes back up into the tubes and contributes to endometriosis),

Sometimes a woman is actually alergic to semen which also causes pain and problems using womens condoms expensive but they protect not only inside but the outside region as well.

If people who engage in masterbation arent cleaning their toys - even if they are the only ones using the toy they can keep reinfecting themselves with yeast spores.

yes when one partner has an infection the other is most likely infected or carrying the spores and not know it.

good luck. hope things finally work out for you.
