I found out today from my doctor that I have been diagnosed as having an immune deficiency. I saw him yesterday because I again have a sinus infection. I asked him if taking vitamins would help but he said no. I already take a heap of vitamins so figured adding a few couldn't hurt.
He said I have had this since birth that it is basically a birth defect and that actually explains a lot of my childhood. So I know washing my hands religiously, making sure my surroundings are clean (gonna have to work at that one) and watch what I eat. What are other things I can do to boost my immune system? Jan

Hi, Jan - Lots of sleep is good for the immune system. Be sure to get 7-8 hours per night. A healthy diet is also good for the immune system - be sure to include fresh fruit and veggies and lean proteins. Also, drinking hot beverages is better than drinking cold ones (boiling water kills germs). Likewise, food eaten hot has fewer germs than food eaten cold. I hope you feel better!
