I think I'm coming down with something. I feel really sick to my stomach, like I'm going to be sick. I never stay home from work, but I feel like crap!
Tough part is, I'm the chair of a search committee (for a new job) at work. We have 3 phone interviews tomorrow. If I feel this crappy at 1am - enough to wake me up from sleep, I don't think I'd be able to go into work. Do I stay out or go in just for the interviews? Right now, I don't think I can leave the toilet for fear of throwing up! Argh....I hate being sick! |

(((doggiedo))) - sorry you're not feeling well. Have you ever tried fresh ginger root tea? You take a peeled 1 inch piece and slice it thin - boil on low for 5 mins and pour in cup with a green tea bag - add sweetener if you like. Ginger is very soothing for the stomach and throat. You can also use this pressure point trick - press on the inner wrist with the thumb from your opposite hand. Press in the middle where the crease of your hand meets the wrist. Do this on both sides and this is good for nausea. Sorry you have colitis and do whatever your doc says to soothe it. Hope you feel better soon.

Aw, thanks. I might just do that. I actually have made it through work today, which is pretty surprising since I keep running to the bathroom.
I emailed my boss and gave her an abreviated update and that it might cause me to be out the next few days. I did have bloodwork and my doc is waiting to hear back before she takes the next step - since I'm pretty sure it's the colitis acting up again. I am tempted to call her and tell her how bad last night was. I think I'm running a fever too. I get out in 20 min - hoping to just go home and relax. Too bad the puppy needs a walk ;( Poor guy. Should I call or just wait for her to call me? |
