Its been gradually building up . But over the weekend it got so bad. I have a really tight feeling in the center of my lower back and my hips are killing me. Plus my legs want to practically give out on me after walking just a short bit.Dont know what the deal is . I do have sciatic problems but this feels sorta different. I dont have alot of pain shooting down the side of my leg like I usualy do with that. It just all feels very tight or stiff.Anyone got this?

Some of this could be caused by stress, as some of mine is too (the physical therapist still treats it, as it's physical!) Muscles tighten and pull on the bones, joints... even slightly out of place can cause pain.

I'm glad it's not the sciatica... but it sounds bad enough. Can you remember the stretching exercises you would do for sciatica? Ham string mainly, I think. Hot packs/pads or ice, which ever you can stand 15 minutes on, 15 off...

You have been having a tough time lately, hope you can release some of your tension and get relief soon. TC

This probally doesn't seem much like the other problems you have, but could be caused by the same thing. I know how bad that shooting pain can be. I have that too. Occationally it gets suddenly bad where my back and hips will just hurt too......My chiro tells me to lay flat on the floor and put my legs up ona chair at a 90 degre angle. This helps release the tension in the back...to make in comfortable roll a towel and place under your neck. This helps re-align the spine. Never hurts to call and ask chiro or sugestions too if you know them well enough.

Hope you are feeling better I know how much it sux when in pain.

Well I went to the doctor yesterday and he ordered xrays for me. HE is thinking its bone spurs in my lower back. Guess we will take it step by step and go from there. I am hoping its something easily treatable cause I really dont want to go thru back surgery. My brother has had 4 back surgeries and none of them have helped. If I couldjust lose some of this darn weight it would help. Intense Back painIntense Back painIntense Back pain < More of these and less of this>>Intense Back painIntense Back painIntense Back pain

I have a flair up again of the arthrosis in my back. I am in so much pain right now. I honestly feel like there is something broken in there in the hip./pelvic area. It kills me to go up and down steps. And even to walk. And regular pain killers are not helping. Scared to take what I was because thats when I started feeling the heart palpitations. I already have the bills rolling in from my other medical tests .. do I really want to go and have more?

As a very wise woman once told me, "Can you afford not to?"
