I have just been diagnosed with severe obstruction sleep apnea and got my cpap machine.
My question is, how long did it take you to get used to it? It's so cumbersome when I sleep. I usually take it off half way through the night or else it runs out of water and wakes me up.

I got VERY motivated when I found out I had to use it for 30 nights IN A ROW or else I would have to pay for it myself, and time was running out in my initial 3 months. I guess you have to put more water in - I noticed that sometimes I would bump the heat setting up or down and not notice, as I was turning the machine on for the night, and even a difference of 1 in heat level will make it run out of water. I need 75% filled for 3, 50% for 2. But 3 is too hot these days.

I quit using it for a week after I fulfilled my "obligation", but I noticed I have started snoring and napping during the day again.

idk, I agree, it was very intrusive at first, like, who are you and what are you doing in my bed??!! but eventually it becomes a loving companion

Thanks, that's very helpful. I am learning about changing little things here and there like the temp or the humidity levels. I think I might just have it at a good mixture!
