Or is it the other way around? Or can you feed both of them?

I've felt like absolute dung for a week with this darn head cold. It's nothing worse than a garden-variety cold, it's just hanging on FOREVER. I get that tickly throat cough all night so I can't sleep, then I'm a zombie during the day. When I blow my nose, my ears pop and ring and I get woozy. The most effective daytime cold medicine for me (pseudoephedrine) has to be purchased with a pharmacist's approval after showing your driver's license and signing a form. For some stupid reason you can only buy limited quantities now and "they" monitor how much you buy in any given time period. What the heck?! Any product that contains it has to be purchased using one of those "take this slip to the pharmacist" vouchers. Well, guess what? The only pharmacy is town has short hours and isn't open on the weekends, and they only sell the expensive $10 a box stuff instead of store brand for $3. Feed a fever, starve a cold?

Anyway, I've been eating anything and everything in sight. My body's craving food. And sugary OJ isn't helping the diet any, even though I know the vitamin C is good for the cold.

I just want to feel better already. My voice is shot too. I sound horrible.

Feed a fever, starve a cold?

We're in the same boat, Wi_fi. My H has been great - I'm in bed and he's been taking care of me (this is a first, btw!). He just brought me a bowl full of Ricolas in different flavors.

The cold medicine restrictions are a drag but I guess it's better than having meth addicts break into your house.

Feel better soon... Feed a fever, starve a cold?

hahahahahaha, I forgot about those emoticons. Yep, that's just about how I feel. I don't have anyone taking care of me though. In fact, I had to listen to the male child throw a fit this morning because I was too yucky feeling to bring the wet clothes up from the washer last night and throw them in the dryer, so his socks were still damp by the time he was ready to leave for school.
Feed a fever, starve a cold?

I want to crawl under the blankets and rest. It's cold and windy and damp here today. I've got the space heater blowing on me, but that's just making me sleepier. I'm only at the 1/4 mark on work, too. Bleh.

oh for crying out loud - your son is old enough to put his own darn clothes in the dryer. Put him on IM when he gets home - I have a few words for him.

He was already asleep by the time the clothes were done washing.

ok, he's off the hook THIS time...

but he should still aim for more self-sufficiency when his mom is sick. Let me know if you want Auntie LMo to say a few words...

Will do.

But is the answer feed a cold, starve a cold, or give a cold whatever it wants? Because right now I'm in "gorge a cold" mode.

The answer is... I have no idea. I have zero appetite myself right now.

I think that's the point LMo... if you feel like eating, eat, if you don't, don't. I know that for me, usually it's starve a fever (but drown it! ) LOL

Hope you're feeling better today, Wi-fi.

When in doubt I always follow this rule of thumb: feed a cold, feed a fever, feed a headahe, feed boredom, feed a hangnail, feed a bad hair day......

Works quite well for me Feed a fever, starve a cold?

That's the method I'm taking with my cold. Feed a fever, starve a cold?

I'm also "feeding a bad work day" today.

I've deduced that it's "starve a cold." I've been eating whatever I've felt like this last week, not writing it down, and put back on 5 pounds. Feed a fever, starve a cold?
