I'm lucky to say that I usually am in pretty good health most of the time. Yesterday when I was at work however, I got a really intense headache. I work in a call center, so it made it difficult to concentrate on what people were saying to me. And soon after the headache began I started to feel nauseous (sp?), dizzy and had extreme fatigue. I felt like I was hit by a truck. I've never experienced anything like that before.
And I couldn't leave either, since my ride wasn't able to come earlier to pick me up. We were so busy at work but I stuck it out for the remainder of my shift. These symptoms lasted from about noon until 10pm last night. And when I woke up this morning I was fine! From the sudden onslaught of symptoms, it makes me feel like this would be the flu. But I didn't experience a fever or anything like that.

Anyway, I don't have insurance and I'm waiting at this clinic right now, waiting to be seen. It makes me anxious that it might be something serious. It really scared me.

If you feel fine now, it's probably the 24 hr flu. That's what it sounds like anyway. It's not serious. I doubt that it's anything else as long as you don't have any other symptoms. Do you feel ok now?

The fatigue is still there, but other than that I'm ok now. I almost feel silly being here at this clinic but my friend made me go. The nurse behind the desk looked at me like I was lying! Yes, I have nothing else better to do with my time...

I agree that what you describe sounds very much like migraines that I get.
They do make a person feel awful.

Thanks everyone for your replies! The dr said that it was the flu, but it's interesting to see what everyone's responses are. My brother agreed that it sounded like I had a migraine.

Nicoleb2 - when you say that you get an "aura" before getting a migraine, what do you mean by that?
