I am plagued with these murderous things in my mouth all the time. Dentist said I was sensitive to Sodium laurel sulfate which makes toothpaste foamy. Makes sense, since some shampoos with it in it make my scalp break out too!

BUT I was on yahoo answers the other day to get home remidies for the one i have right now, which is AWFUL (you know the tooth directly behind your eye tooth on the bottom row o the right side? mines RIGHT THERE so it rubs on it constantly) because it is actually one huge one with several little ones surrounding it.

Someone suggested rubbing a bit of sugar on it and said sugar was a natural anesthetic! Well, I tried, better than rinsing with salt water like I have been (shiver) and, it worked! It did numb it out quite nicely! Nothing like anbesol or anything mind you, but nonetheless it is numb enough that I can not notice it and not be in constant pain!

Plus, sugar tastes good and I have an excuse to eat little bits of sweetness every little while. I used to love eating sugar cubes as a kid :P

I believe CLOVES works well, its a spice thing which you can by whole or as a sort of tincture. Also that stuff you stick on baby gums when they are teething.

I have got a serious one by my lower wisdom tooth and it hurts like a complete bugger..............

My brother used to have those sores. His dentist had him get Milk of Magnesia and swish it in his mouth before he went to bed at night. (Of course, spit out the MoM or you'll have other unwanted results.) The MoM counteracts the acid in your mouth and lets the sore heal.

Try it, it really works!

Hugs,

Jan

I used to have terrible problems with jaw spasms causing chomping on the inside of my cheeks... and the swelling made the area more susceptible to being chomped again. I found by "biting the bullet" and brushing the area with toothpaste and toothbrush, solved the irritation by the next day A Tip for chancre sores

Okay, if you can handle it take a bit of ground alum you get with spices at the grocery and put a little on a q tip and put it on the spot. It puckers you up but shrinks the darned thing quicly and gets it to heal quickly.
