Next week, I see my neurologist and need to speak with him about my anti-seizure medication - it has a side effect of increasing appetite. I have put on nearly 20 pounds since going on this med. I am fighting hunger all the time. On top of that, I have a loss of energy too. If I have as little as half a glass of wine - a weekly treat - I fall asleep, sometimes for hours. (One time, I slept for 4 hours afterwards.)

I am at a point in my life where I need to make decisions and take action. I can't take action if I am feeling lethargic almost all of the time.

I hope that your visit goes well, and there are other helpful AED's without those crummy side effects. There's always something bad about those dang meds ~ frustrating! Very best wishes to you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
