I have not had a bowl movement in over a week. I took laxitive last night. Today I have not gone. I stuck a piece of toliet paper in there and blood comes out. I feel the need to go but nothing comes out. What can I do ? I have a doctors appointment on Thursday should we wait until then or should I do something about this before then?

It might be helpful to take Colace, which will soften stool that is already formed.
Enema will give relief quickly, in 10 minutes.

The blood is likely from small tears caused by the constipation and straining. They will heal once things settle down.

You may want to google constipation, laxatives, etc.

I hope you feel better. It is so uncomfortable.
Thanks for this!

AGREE TOTALLY - GO TO STORE 'NOW' GET FLEET. Also take laxative.

Then of course diet corrections... Lots Lots of Fluid for flushing.
Fiber to push out whats in there - Too much fiber with no Fluid, another type of blockage

Yea I have been having problems with Constipation at the moment as I'm on alot of Pain Medication & with those comes constipation & it's cruel. I have been taking 2 dulolax pills at night b4 bed & it sometimes helps but then I end up doing a enema. Is there a better way of helping & keeping my stools soft ?
