I think its allergies, because as soon as I take an Aerius, it goes away within an hour. But holy h e double hockey sticks is it ever annoying!

It seems to start with one little bump that itches, then spreads like hives but only not nearly so big. or my eye will get red and itchy then get worse until I take it.

I wonder how I can figure out what it is?? ITCHY!!!!

i hate allergies!

i was anaphylaxic once. we never found the cause of why. hives are itchy!!! my face puffed up and i could barely open my eyes and was panting. i've had extreme itchiness ever since that one episode. i was tested for allergies and nothing came positive. i eliminated most perfumes and fragrances around me and that seemed to help. it's possible my allergies are due to my trauma reaction. if i find a cure for my mental issues, the itchiness will go away too.

if you have swelling and breathing problems, make sure you get yourself to a hospital's emergency room.

phone your psychiatrist about the hives. it may be a side effect of psych meds.

If you have any pets, sometimes they may rub up or pass through an area outdoors near some allergic reacting plant life, carry the allergens on the fur, we pet them and unknowingly have just made contact.
Certain shrubs, especially juniper aggravates the skin, causes hives, as well as tomatoe plants, not the fruit.
Or like some have mentioned, soaps, laundry detergents, etc. can also be culprits.
It may be a good idea to see the doc if it persists.
Many years ago, I had this weird itchy rash, mostly on the trunk and arms, turned out to be some sort of airborne virus, that passes, but having shots and special salves speed up the part of itching, turning 3-4 weeks of this annoyance into only 2 weeks.
I can't spell it, but it was called pittiariosis rosea, it really was nasty.
I couldn't believe there were airborne viruses, like common colds, that can do this to the skin.
More I think of it, see a doc or better yet an allergist.
Hope all works out, take care now.

well folks I think I know what the problem is now for the bumps.

ANTS are doing there yearly taking over of my apartment. Not red ants thank goodness, just the little black ones, but they still bite. Apparently I am sensitive to the bites, and it seems like when I scratch one, it irritates my already very sensitive skin and makes more bumps. It almost always spreads that way.

As for the eyes, I suspect it may just be the summer. I can't think of anything else that would bother me. I suppose if I were slightly allergic to ant bites, it could make my eyes puffy too, could it not?

Oh, those little buggers can wreak havoc.
Good luck with getting rid of them, I just started getting them inside, probably all the rain we have had has flooded them out of their nests and now they are rising up to higher ground.
Problem I have 2 dogs and hate using any sprays, for I fear they'll get it in them, my one dog is weird, I love her, but she is weird, she licks walls, clothes, and of course she'll lick the floors, so I have been very cautious.
Since they started coming here, I'm vaccuming every inch of the floors, and even walking around looking.
Ant bites can really be nasty, fire ants are coniverous, I almost went nuts while in FL, got attacked on the ankles while gardening at my parents former home.
Take care, I wish you well with being rid of the itchies.
