Hi I have been the owner of a whopping headache for the past few days, it began at the piont where your spine goes into your skull, then worked its way slowly round to the left temple then to the top of my head and is presently on its way back to the placew where it started, my eyes feel extremely tired, at work i was in a meeting where the other person was sat beside some almost closed blinds, i really could not concentrate and felt awful unable to focus on him because of flashy lines whenever i moved my eyes from another person back to him. I have been taking my normal pain meds which consist of 60mg codeine and 1000mg paracetamol per dose 4 times a day and it has made very little difference to the headache, i have never had migranes and hadrly ever get more than a niggle of a headache and even that is rare. I have become even more clumsy than normally dropping around half of the things i try to pick up, crashing my wheelchair into things etc, and feel like i could sleep for a month even though i have had really good long sleeps lately which is unusual for me. by really good long sleeps i mean around five or six hours undisturbed with another stretch just as long after an hour spasming before i turn over...i can't turn over in my sleep and spasm on waking every time i wake up to turn over or to start the day) I know i shouldget it checked out, but it takes three weeks to get an appointment to see a doctor here!

1. any suggestions for ridding it welcome
2. any one want it, it is going for free!!!!!

Do you have a Doctor you could email and tell them what's going on? you shouldn't have to suffer with these terrible headaches for such a long amount of time.. I'm not familiar with paracetamol, 1000mg's sounds intense.
I don't know a good remedy except a cold washcloth or ice to the back of your neck and a cold cloth over your eyes. you might also go on a site.WEBMD, or a medical site that could suggest something that will be immediate.
warm thoughts to you.
Thanks for this!

Someone suggested taking a hot shower for a headache and letting the water run over the hurting areas.....

However, I also agree that you need to see a doctor!
Thanks for this!

thanks everyone, i called my doc , three weeks for an available appointment, so I took a duvet day, stayed in bed with no light in the room and slept for best part of the day and the night too, woke up feeling much brighter , still a niggle in my head, but not the searing pain there was. energy is really low too, was ok first thing but by lunchtime i was ready for bed again, so have listened to my body and am now on duvet day two!
