It depends if they are helping the reason you are taking them. You might ask your doctor to change your medicines to something with less sypmtoms.

If you are taking a prescription for heartburn/GERD for longer than a few weeks, I think your doctor needs to know this...be reminded..as most of them cure the problem. If the problem isn't cured, it could be much more serious a problem...

Talk to your doctor, imo. See what's going on!

Weigh the symptoms, which are worse, with or without the drugs, and talk to your doctor. Work really hard on your lifestyle, diet, etc. as drugs can't cure, just help; only your body can cure/fix itself when it is able to.

I think the drugs do more good than harm, coz I know how it feels without them and don't want to have that feeling again. But at the same time the drugs are giving me hard time, changed third time, all have something bad, I think I have to learn living with it. Thank you for the advice, it means a lot. GORE

Yeah, taking some drugs for heart burn and it is better now. What I couldn't tolerate is the sleepiness, can't get up in the morning, dizzy whole day... Hope it will work itself out. Thank you very much for the message. GORE
