Nobody answered yet but I personally drink lemon green tea for the metabolism, less gas, keeping it clean down there, and for the taste and comfort . I love tea

Lemon also holds vit C for immunity and helping iron absorption from the tea
Thanks for this!

Lemon also helps the absorption of antioxidants from black tea, and, I imagine, from green tea as well, although I have never tried lemon with green tea.

It wouldn't "do" anything that dramatic. No one food, herb, spice, item we ingest or series of items/diet has the power to speed up/slow down/fix, whatever one's metabolism. A balanced diet and a healthy exercise/living are the only habits that will put and keep things on the right track for the long-term. If it were as easy as just drinking hot lemon water/tea we'd all be doing that instead of "searching" for ways around eating properly and exercising appropriately
