Hello everyone sorry if this is off topic but I am very nerves about getting an ICD (Implantable cardioverter defibrillator) implant in a few days on the 20th. Its a pacemaker type device but more advance so it can threat a very wide rage of heart problems that a pacemaker cannot treat. Well the reason I am getting it is because of a few different reasons I have congestive heart failure, tachycardia, problems with going into cardiac arrest, and my hear chambers bleeding, and the medicine is not helping very mush so they want the implant so I won't die when my heart acts up on me. Also one thing a am afraid of is that I am only 27 how will I be when I get older.

I can understand you nervousness. But I think it might help to keep in mind that this procedure could likely save your life. I know it's easy to worry about our health problems in the future. I know I do. But I am finding it helpful to just try to take one day at a time. Okay?
Please let us know how it all goes. ![]() |
