I went to the orthopedic surgeon yesterday and he took xrays. He said he believes I have a torn tendon and a stress fracture down the center of my heel. He ordered an MRI so I should be going for that this week sometime. My ankle has been hurting a lot but I'm grateful that I finally know what is most likely to be wrong even though the likely outcome will be surgery.

Ouch!! Surgery might not be needed and getting a 2nd opinion is a good idea too.

Good luck and keep us posted.

The doctor is from the best place in Phoenix, The Core Institute. He's been treating me for peronial tendonitis in the same ankle for over a year now. I trust him but am grateful to be reminded to get a second opinion. I think I will take your advice. Thanks!
