So, now that I've successfully posted something, I will post something of use to this site! Kind of... I hope...
ANYWAY! I saw a post about head aches and thought to myself, "Gosh, I have headaches all the time. When I first wake up I have a headache, after I eat, after I run, after I swim, after I drink soda, after I sit for too long then stand up..." It had become quite ridiculous in my opinion. The only thing that I've found to work are Advil, and those migraine pills that put you to sleep. I only take those when I can't even breathe without the headache getting worse though. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Please? Over and out ![]() |

There are many types of headaches. Migraine headaches are on of the types. Different medications work on different types. Migraine medications called triptans (a large class of prescription drugs) work best when they are taken when the very first signs (precursors) of a migraine attack occur (as opposed to waiting and waiting the way you do with your OTC meds).
You probably need to see a doctor about it, because you believe that you have tried many things and found that Advil and those others are the only ones that work, but in reality you have only tried a small sample of what is out there, since you have not tried any prescription medications. You have only tried OTC. Also, OTC headache meds can worsen the headaches in the long term, by causing what is called "rebound headaches". The best would be to keep a journal of your headaches for several months (there are migraine journals online), and then see a neurologist or a GP. |

Look up "rebound headaches" and send the info about them to your mom, so that she can see for herself that the situation might get progressively worse without medical attention.

![]() one thing that helped me personally with some types of headaches (i get different kinds) was increasing my water consumption; but there can be many reasons for both headaches and migraines so worth checking it out and getting the best help possible |
