Aww - I wish I could pop over there and help you! I'm a chief and washing, hanging up, ironing and folding!
Hope your pain eases up really soon. ![]()

The wash is done, but my clothes need to be hung up. Poor pants and shirts as just laying there getting wrinkled!
![]() I'd much rather just have your company, though. It hasn't been a good day. ![]()

Well... It turned emotional as well as physical... How do you feel towards being my soft place to land? Are you up to it?

I'm so sorry. Is there anyway you can put a chair in the shower and sit under the hot water? It may help. It may ruin the chair though... Hugs, Jan

what about a plastic lawn chair? You know, the cheap kind you can get for a patio.
My grandfather used this when he fell before they received their shower chair and found it to be almost just as good. Other tips: a non slip mat in the tub, for sure. If all else fails, anything you can sit on in the shower so that its not so hard to stand up all that time. Even a plastic footstool might work if you can settle down that height. |

I've already got a plastic patio chair in the shower and I also have a safety bath mat. Thing is, I can't stand a hot shower. Raises my blood pressure and gives me palpitations.
![]() Rainsbowzz, I've already put in for my shower chair. For me, it will be better because I can lower it so I can reach my feet. Right now, I have to wait to get out of the shower and sit in a lower chair to reach them! LOL ![]() ![]() ![]() Sky, it's not so much the muscles as it is the bones. My knees pop and I can feel the bones scraping against each other. My left ankle swells to twice it's size during the day. The same with the bones there. When I sit too long, my hip joints and the two vertebrae that are deteriorating just ACHE!! The only muscle that hurts is right below my right shoulder when I lift my arm a certain way. Then my arm just drops and I drop whatever I have in my hand. I had been going to the pool to do some light exercising and walking around in the water. Not sure if that was helping or making it worse. But now, they've put up new rules ![]() ![]() Just realized that now that Jerry is out of the hospital, the pain has returned. I don't remember hurting at all from the time he called from the ER. ![]() ![]() Angie, yes, I've taken Naprosin in the past. I have an appt with my Dr on the 25th. Thanks for reminding me! I had totally forgotten about it!! I'll talk to her about it as well as some physical therapy or something along that order. This pain is NOT fun! Amber is learning to pick up some of the stuff that I drop. It started as a joke, but she's picking up on it. Weird! Now, if I could teach Caesar the cat to walk on my back, we'd have something there! ![]() I'm just falling apart!! ![]()

I wanted to tell you that the rhuemy Dr put me on Voltaren for the chest injury pain. It takes about two weeks to kick in, but it does help. (That is, it does if I remember to take it.) Anyway, ask about it. It's an NSAID, but according to him it works better than the others. I take 75 mg bid. I'm so sorry you're hurting. I just hate it for you. ![]() ![]() Hugs, Jan
