Has anyone ever had oral thrush as an adult then afterwards struggle with an extremely dry mouth to the point that you are gagging, still have a white tongue, still hurts and burns, not to mention accompanied by bad breathe? I can't take it anymore.....granted smoking doesn't help and I need to quit but just curious if anyone else has had an expierence with this?

The dentist recommended Biotene products for dry mouth, as an artificial saliva-like replacement; comes in different forms, such as oral rinses and chewing gums to help. It is important to treat because gum disease and decay can become an issue if dry mouth persists. Perhaps these products will help meanwhile. I hope you find some relief.

bad breath + white tongue = infection see a dentist or doctor, sounds like the thrush may not have cleared, you may need a different type meds to fight it. for the dry mouth try chewing gum, it works well for me as i am on meds which dry up all sweat/saliver glands

I often have a dry mouth. Some times it kicks in when i am anxious, however I have also been diagnosed with diabetes. Thrush often gets out of hand when sugar levels are high. So bottom line is go to a doctor and have a chat.
