Hi-

I feel so ashamed that I cancelled my appt. today. I took something to sleep last night, so I would be not tired for long trip. I woke up with a mirgaine.....I really think it is stress related.

Goal post migraine--->go somewhere, to a store and talk to a sales person.

I feel like a disappointment to everyone.

Hello kirby, it happens and we all make mistakes. I hope you can get to sort out another appointment as soon as possible. Take care.

Thanks Pegasus.

I did reschedule, almost a month away. So this should give T sometime to help me and see what issues I really have. I know the migraine was related to the stress. My goal is to be a little bit stronger!

I am so sorry you didn't make it to your appt...esp because you had all that stress beforehand and then nothing came of it except a bad headache. (Hope your neuro can help you with the migraines if they aren't already.)
And it's perfectly okay you had to reschedule so you can work on your anxiety before going...it's not worth torturing yourself before an appt! I only hope your T can step up to the plate and help you out...what you need and what you get from her generally has me concerned and I will be po'ed if she completely screws this one up.
And good for you for getting out there and talking to a sales person, esp. at Best Buy, one of the most intimidating stores ever!
Thanks for this!

Please dont feel bad about cancelling the appointment. We all get sick at sometime and need to cancel appointments. It would have been nice to get it over with, but things just happen. No punishment allowed.
Thanks for this!

Thanks everyone,

Lost Key-I actually was laughing at Best Buy..The kid I talked to would have been someone I would have been attacted to 20 yrs ago..we were talking about laptops, and he told me "I hate Dell". Which I found funny. Then I asked where the memory was. I went back up to him & his co worker, told them how old my pc is...their eyes got big. So the other guy says "go to crucial.com". The original kid pulls out a piece of paper & tells the other one to write it down, because "I (he) can't even spell crucial". I said, "It's ok, I have it". they were nice.

Kirby - more commonly, migraines do not occur whilst you are in the middle of something stressful, but rather while you stop being stressed out. They are called "weekend migraines" or "let-down headaches". I get those, and there are very common.

It does not mean that yours was not stress-related - I am just questioning your assumption that it was, and offering that the thing you took for sleep might be to blame - some medications result in headaches as a side effect.

Or, it could have happened for no reason at all - coincidentally.

At any rate, nothing to be ashamed of - we do not have that kind of control of our bodies. ****, migraines, etc. do happen, and you canceled the appointment for a good reason. I can see how you would be disappointed yourself, and, would be annoyed that you now have to wait a whole month, but I cannot see how you could be a disappointment to OTHER people (you said - "everyone"), or, how this is something to feel ashamed of.
Thanks for this!

The reason I feel as if I disappointed "everyone" is I had two threads going on this subject of me going to neuro, and members were supporting me and giving me suggestions to help w/ anxiety.

My sleep med was tizanadine, which is used as a muscle relaxer for MS spasticity. It causes me to sleep, it is very difficult to keep my eyes open w/ that med. My neuro wants me to sleep for my disorder and did not want me rekying on something I would get addicted to as my body is already addicted to the clonazepam. It is used to relax the muscle groups which are in constant contraction, thus allowing me to ambulate.

Thanks.
