I really hope this doesn't come out as selfish here but here goes.
My husband has copd and will start on oxygen for night time tomorrow. Here is the issue. I am a smoker and alot of times I wake up and smoke in the middle of the night. I know I can't smoke in the same room with that machine in there and I know they are loud and will keep me awake. We have a spare bedroom and I am thinking maybe have him move into that. Is that wrong of me to ask?

I don't know that it is wrong of you to consider this. You might discuss it with him and see how he feels about it. You didn't say if you husband smokes. But if he doesnt, I will say with copd he should not be around left over smoke or people smoking. My mother had copd and smoke, perfume and household cleaners would worsen her symptoms. You should really condsider smoking outside, not in the house. This is a very hard disease not smoking around him could lengthen his life. I watched my mother go from having to sleep with it at night to having to have it full time and even then sometimes she couldn't get enough air in her lungs. It was hard to watch. I wish you and your husband my sympathy for having to go throught this.
