Anyone else other than me have a chronic metallic taste in their mouth that lasts for days? I'm not even taking any pills and I get this strange "chemical" taste in my mouth. This isn't the first time this happened to me, sometimes it can last for a week if not more.

Do you have any stomach issues? I've read in Internet that they could cause this effect too.

I had that for 9 months straight, it was gross, tasted like I was sucking batteries daily! I really feel for you. Never knew why or had it again after I gave birth though.

could be a vitamin imbalance, a dental cavity or bleeding from gums or running down from the nasal passage into the throat they all cause metalic taste in mouth, get checked out by a dentis and doctor, but in the meantime try chewing gum

Yeah It's been 3 days and I still have it....it comes and it goes....I really think it has to do with me being on an antidepressant for a year and being off it for the last 4 months. My brain chemistry is slowly going back to it's original state. Could be the neurogensis cells getting destroyed from the drug or my serotonin levels beginning to turn to normal. Sounds silly but it's an intuitive feeling.

Definitely not bleeding, vitamin imbalance I'm not sure? I hope it goes away soon. Doctors always tell me nothing is wrong that's the answer I get 90% of the time.

Are you dieting? There is a condition when the body reaches a certain point in weight loss, I think it is called ketosis. And it is noticeable because of a strong metallic taste in the mouth. I went through it when I was dieting.

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.

Interesting i've lost like 15 pounds fairly recently it tastes like pills are in my mouth. It's finally going away though after a week.
Thanks for this!
