This hasnt' been good news, and I think we are concerned that it might be a fatal form of MS, since that has occurred in our extended family before.

Illegal Toilet,

I hope that your sister's tests show better results than you're fearing. MS can be a real bear to treat, but it typically has relatively slow breaks downward. I've personally known and cared for those with severe MS ~ the patients do adjust to the differences in their lives. It takes some time, yes, but adjustment & acceptance do come relatively soon.

Gentle hugs to your sister and family. I hope that everything turns out okay in those tests.

Best of Luck, to your sister. Are they fearing it's progressive?

I have Relapsing Remitting MS. Started in 2000. I have had a handful of flare ups. Mine affects my vision, when in flare. They say, after the 10 year marker, if it's going to progress, it would have. MS the Disease : National MS Society

Fatality is rare.

Best thing, stay educated, informed and supportive. There's about to be a 3 year trial with a new med, developed in Japan. Waiting, watching, crossing fingers, they say, if it goes well, it can reverse progression.
