I went in for my dental check up, I get one every year, and I had 12 cavities....TWELVE! Thats when I snapped out of it, realized what transpired, and knew it was time to get help for longterm change. I binged late at night and had very poor dental hygiene.

help.

Hi, MoodilyDepressed, and welcome to Psych Central! I am sorry you had twelve cavities, but on the other hand, I am glad it was a wake-up call for you to seek help!

Are you seeing a therapist and taking meds?

Hi Moodily, I totally understand. I am struggling with some teeth issues right now of my own. *hugs* Glad you recognized you were ready for change.

The depressed daughter of a friend has spent the last year getting major dental work done because she neglected her teeth. Wake-up calls can appear up in the most unexpected ways ...
