Has anyone else been diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome?

If so, do you suffer from urinary tract infections and / or yeast infections on a regular basis? What steps have to taken to treat them?

Do you believe that your Metabolic Syndrome is a side-effect of being abused / neglected as a child?

Some meds, as well as lifestyle and genetics can predispose you to this condition. I used to have many yeast infections in both my private area as well as skin folds. Started taking cold-pressed virgin coconut oil daily, avoided sugars and sugar substitutes as well as carbs and hardly ever get an infection now. BTW, I usually get a yeast infection every time I have to take antibiotics.
