I just started a 24-hour urine collection test to check out my adrenals/cortisol/steroid production but my asthma is starting to act up so I should start back on my asthma med which would make the test invalid. I've decided I can wait until tomorrow morning, after the 24-hour test is finished to start my asthma med but things get worse at night. Ugh, going to be another bad night, up every 3 hours or so

errr, annoying but please take asthma meds if you need to.Also, I am sure you know this but steroid asthma meds take a few days to work. They do not provide immediate relief. Albuterol and drugs of this nature are the ones that urgently open the airways. It really rots when you can't breathe. Good luck.

I'm having a lot of fun. My husband announced the downstairs toilet was broken so I have to wander from the refrigerator downstairs up to the bathroom upstairs then take it all downstairs again, etc. :-)
I'm taking care wisewoman; the Albuterol does fine, hasn't ever failed me or been too overdone and since I pee mostly in the middle of the night (like now) the asthma hasn't been too much of a problem tonight but I haven't gotten much sleep laying awake worrying about when I'll have to pee next or not be breathing as well (listening to every breath I take and analyzing how I feel). What a choice. I'll start the Flovent right after I get up tomorrow and it usually fixes everything within a couple days, there's an immediate widening of the time between needing the Albuterol and within 2-3 days I won't be needing the Albuterol at all. Fortunately the asthma is still mostly a nuisance rather than a real problem.
