Last week I took two falls, and have generally had balance issues for awhile....I always chalked it up to the meds, but when I mentioned it to Pdoc she got real concerned and told me to tell my GP.
GP came back and says I would need to see neurologist. They did a CT scan of my head last year?? and there was nothing unusual, so it's probably not a tumor, I don't have the genes for parkinsons or MS. They're easy answer will be oh, it's your inner ear, but I don't any sensation of dizziness, spinning etc, just all of a sudden I am not as upright as I should be. Like one day, I was standing at the bathroom sink and literally watch myself sway to the right then the left. I have very little awareness of this. Problem is I have medical fatigue after four years, 20 diagnoses, 12 ER visits, a hospitalization and both parents with cancer. It's a wonder I can function at all. I am tired of dealing with medical issues, including asthma, what's probably early menopause (I just seem to bleed constantly....this cycle which was about 60 days, I spotted continuously for 3 weeks and then had a 'period' that lasted a week). Normal for me is a 33 day cycle, 3-4 period. So gynae wants to see me to make sure I don't have polyps etc. Hormones aren't an option for a couple of reasons, and I don't want them mucking around with my uterus. She wants to see if I have polyps or lesions or something. But honestly, she won't find anything, because I believe this is late perimeopause. Anyway, I suspect that the balance issues and a bunch of other stuff are the result of perimenopause, which seems to be pretty far along as I research, it would also explain the untreatable depression, the anxiety and the respiratory stuff. So the balance thing is not dizziness or vertigo, just suddenly I lose my balance. Anyone else?

Looks like you have a lot of meds. I have asthma too and had a Ménière's-like problem in my late 30s and 40s (before my asthma attacked me :-) I know Ritalin can cause nasty effects/fainting, sudden blood pressure changes (which can drop one), etc. so if you are taking more than prescribed, especially with all the other meds, I'd say you have drug interactions/overdoses happening.
