Anyone else has this? I am SO done with this terrible disease! I thought you could only get eczema as a baby but I contracted it in my late teens, where it began as regular eczema on the inner crook of my right elbow before flaring up on my right pinkie. I got Neoderm and some pills from my GP and this subsided the patch on my arm but did nothing for my finger. In winter it would crack and bleed and just be so obscenely painful (to feel and look at). Around April it "spread" to my right middle finger but it was only the mildest of drying/flaking skin. I couldn't take chances so I went back to the GP (though I had wanted to see a dermatologist) and he prescribed a stronger corticosteroid (Diprocel) with Physiogel Hypoallergenic AI Cream, which cleared up my pinkie but was completely useless on my middle finger. I had feared this would happen because it seems like new medications only helped with the old eczema but had no visible effect on the new one.

What should I do? If any of you have had experiences with this, I'd love to hear. I'm beginning to notice it on my palm too and this is honestly freaking me out. Right now my middle finger's so swollen the skin splits wide open and bleeds when I bend/straighten it. It hurts like a mofo when I touch water or any chemicals like shampoo/handwash so even washing my hair becomes a time-consuming chore. This is disgusting and severely interfering with my life. T__T (and not helping with my MH issues)

Have you tried using all natural soap? I use some homemade soap I buy locally that doesn't have chemicals or dies and it's made with goats milk. It's amazing
Thanks for this!

I would call your GP, let them know what is going on, that it is not helping and that it is painful, and ask them for a referral to get you in sooner than later with a dermatologist as this is their specialty. I hope you find some help soon. Hang in there meanwhile.

Thanks! I will search around for natural soaps. Used to sell them myself but my supplier quit LOL. I hope it works!

Yep, I'll probably go to a specialist. I've actually told him the last time that Neoderm didn't work for my pinkie and that I was concerned Diprocel wouldn't for my middle finger too, but he sort of waved the question away...

Try taking high quality vitamin E. It cleared up a phase of eczema I had over 2005-2006. Good luck.
Thanks for this!
