So the tingling and pins/needles in my limbs are the worst they've been! It has been in my feet, legs going all the way up to my thighs, hands and arms, even my cheeks!
Its tingling, burning and a prickly feeling sometime in my feet. and its been nearly constant for three days now! ive been keeping note of symptoms and what I was doing/time when it occurs. None of it is a patter. it happens when im sitting or standing. Its driving me nuts! annnnnd I actually take gabapentin for anxiety so I wonder how this would feel if I didn't take the gabapentin. its crazy. and it scaring me. this started happening (my feet) over a month ago and its more often, lasts longer, and is in different places now. im waiting on neurologist office to call and set up an appointment for me. I want to know what is wrong. |

Could you maybe call the neurologist's office yourself instead of waiting for them to call you? Sometimes medical offices get so swamped that they're not always great at following up with people promptly, but if you call them, it might get done quicker.
Do you have a primary care doctor you could call in the meantime? I'm not a doctor, but it seems like increasing the gabapentin might help. |

My psychiatrist is the one who prescribes the gabapentin for anxiety but Im allowed to take an afternoon dose if I want so I may do that.
As for the Dr office, the lady at my Dr office didn't tell me the exact office I am being referred to, she said she suggested a specific one. (Not sure exactly how it works. Has to do with a specific network thingy with healthcare.) So...Im not sure what to do. The lady said to expect it to be a bit before I hear from them because they're backed up a few weeks. ?? After saying all that...what do you think I should do? Please pardon my noncomprehending lol Im having issues with that. Its hard to sleep lately! |

I would call the office back and tell them you are in urgent need of a referral.
If that doesn't work, try calling your insurance company. They should have a list of specialists who are covered. If all else fails, you could try an urgent care center. Just go in there, tell them what's going on, and ask for a referral to a neurologist. |

It's okay to push them to take it seriously and treat it as urgent. If you're in pain and no one is treating it, that is an urgent concern.

My dr referred me right after we officially ruled out carpal tunnel last week. The lady said to wait an hour and then call them back and say it's been sent.

You see...my mom has MS so this freaks me out. I stumble sometimes too. And sometimes I feel like I'm trembling but it's not visible to others!

Tonight was scary!!!! Ive had the pins/needles and tingling ALL day and evening.
Now its really really driving me nuts and scaring me! ![]() A lady came in the bathroom at the team meeting I was at and wanted to take me to the ER tonight. I told her Im supposed to hear from neurologist for apt set-up soon. She I said I shouldn't wait that long but I told her its not an emergency. Its was crazy! This is three whole days so far and its oly gotten worse. I don't necessarily feel it in just one place either. It can be left hand fingers, left foot and right arm and such |
