I had my wisdom teeth removed six days ago, and ever since then - i've been craving chicken and eggs. Like I woke up, and the first thing I wanted was chicken (which of course I couldn't have because of my teeth). Two days in, I sucked it up and stewed some chicken into a soup and it quenched my craving. Ever since then, i've been craving eggs. I've actually had egg cravings before and ended up eating eggs with hotsauce everyday (sometimes two or three times) for about four days. This craving doesn't include hot sauce this time (though i'd be open to it). On a normal day though, I could go months (maybe longer) without ever eating an egg. Sometimes, when I think I want them - I end up regretting getting them (because they don't taste good). But this chicken/egg craving is relentless. Does anyone know what it means to crave chicken and/or eggs?

Did you get fed chicken and eggs when you were little if you were sick? That could do it. I love eggs, so to me this isn't a weird craving but I know what you're saying.

To my knowledge no, but my grandmother did say as a baby that she thought that's all my parents ever fed my brothers and I (eggs) because that's all we ever had in the house. (And to be fair, they probably did. They were young and struggling lol.)

Oh, then your subconscious remembers it as a sort of comfort food. I love eggs.

Craving eggs in the morning is normal, your body needs a lot of nutrition and energy! I love eggs. I love both boiled eggs, sliced and put on a slice of bread with salad and spices, and eggs prepared in a pan. Whenever I eat eggs for breakfast I also feel a lot less hungry during the day! So I would say, give in to your egg cravings It's good for you.

When the body has been injured, as in having wisdom teeth removed, the body requires protein to heal quickly. Both chicken and eggs are nutrition dense and excellent sources of complete proteins. It sounds as if your body knew what it needed to heal. I'd say your body was craving protein and your mind translated that to two excellent protein sources you've liked in the past.

That's probably a pretty good definition of the wisdom of the body.
