Hello, I need help regarding gynecomastia surgery. When I lost a few pounds, my chest has started dropping and appears like breasts. I am worried about the situation, when my girlfriend will get to know it. One of friend informed about the gynecomastia surgery from the McLean Clinic in Mississuaga and told me to consult there. It is the only solution for this, but I don't know how to talk to her about this. I am worried that she will leave me. Without anyone help I can't handle the surgery alone. I am totally depressed about my appearance. Even I have started drinking a lot. I really need to out of this situation. Please help me.

A supportive partner would be compassionate about your health, imo. My understanding is that it's caused by a hormone imbalance. Not sure why she wouldn't be understanding?

Heavy drinking ties up your liver, by metabolizing alcohol all the time. Thus estrogen stays in your blood stream and causes male breast enlargement. Do not worry about cultural judgements about male breasts. The judgements are wrong.
