Hello everyone, I have a question. Since being on the meds I'm on and having bad eating habits I've gained a lot of weight, I am trying to reverse it by exercising and eating healthy.

I try to take two walks around the block everyday which equals out to a mile total. I have pain in my ankles when I walk for any short distance, even when I walk to the mailbox.

Is there anything to help this?

ankle pain can be due to many reasons. Here are some links at Psych Central discussing ankle pain.

I would go see an orthopedic doctor. That is what I did. I was getting sharp pain in my ankles when walking. I tried steroid shots, bracing, ice. Finally they did an mri and found out that I had torn a ligament. I had surgery last week and am laid up for 6 weeks non weightbearing in a cast. It sucks. Hopefully yours won't be what I have but go get it checked out. I don't still know how I injured it.
Thanks for this!

I don't know exactly what sort of pain you're having or how severe it is. Going on the assumption that it might be caused by the extra weight, you can do exercises to strengthen your ankles. Lots of people have weakness in the muscles and connective tissue in that area.

This link 12 Ways to Build Ankle Strength has some stretching and balance exercises to help ankles. They're just a suggestion. You can find other exercises by doing an online search. Unless you're having extremely severe pain, stretching and strengthening for your ankles may help.

I just saw a doctor earlier this week and got prescribed some exercises for pain while walking. It has been two days and I haven't done them yet.
Thanks for this!
