I'm 5ft 10in. and down to 100 lbs now.

I've been feeling really sick. Extremely tired, sleeping most of the day, my legs give out now when I walk, and sometimes I feel like I'm having a hard time breathing or I'm running out of breath.

I posted about this my last thread, and I was talking about all these other symptoms.

I feel like I want to die now, that there's no point in getting better, but at the same time I want to live life and fit into clothes again, go and get a job.

I was scheduled for a doctor's visit in two weeks and they said that's the earliest.

I don't even know if I'll be able to wait that long.

I just read your post from a couple of weeks ago to find out what's up with the weight loss (unknown, I see - not anorexia.)

I started off writing something about calling your doctor's office and asking to speak to a nurse to try to get a quicker appointment, but given your symptoms, I'd say just go to the ER. It's very likely that you may need IV fluids and would have to go there even if your doctor saw you today.

When you get to the ER, you know they do that thing where they ask why you're there to try to decide where to put you in the line of people waiting for help. (unless you get lucky and there's no line.)

When they ask you why you're there, tell them when you noticed the weight loss starting and your worst symptoms and that your regular doctor can't see you for two weeks. Hugs, sweetie. I hope you'll let us know what happens.

P.S. I see that you're 18 - don't know if you live with your parents. Since I don't know the story there, I can't advise on that.

Just please take care of yourself and get help, okay?

I live with my dad, but he's not good with medical care and I don't think he'll take me to the ER. He's an alcoholic, so he's not exactly right in the head anymore.

I can't drive, I don't have a job yet, and I'm looking into Vocational Rehab, so I can barely take care of myself.

My heart feels fluttery and it's beating really fast too.

Is there a neighbor, family member, or friend nearby you could ask to take you to the hospital?

How about a taxi?

Does your city have something like "Access a Ride" that will come get you and take you somewhere?

You can call your local fire department.

You can call 911.

A taxi or Access a Ride will want you to pay upfront. But any charges from the fire department or 911 will be billed later on.

The thing about weight being too little and having a speeded up heart rate and weak legs is worth getting checked out, sooner than later. Find a way to go to ER even if you have to call 911. Any neighbors who might be willing to give you a ride? At the very least they can make sure you fluids and your heart are ok.

Unexplained weight loss Causes - Mayo Clinic

I think you've already researched some probable causes and illness on the Internet, but just in case and if you can, while you schedule your earliest ER meeting, don't over-exert yourself at home. If you're having trouble breathing, relax and stay away from (extreme) heat.
