I have dyspraxia, so it's difficult for me to walk. I often lose my balance, trip, bump into thing or people, and it's hard to walk in a straight line. Would I be able to walk more easily if I used a cane? It's pretty embarrassing because I always seem like I'm drunk when I'm walking. I'm wondering if a cane could make my dyspraxia less obvious.

I am sorry you are having trouble with balance issues. your question might require a professional trained in dyspraxia to answer.

Here are some previous articles or posts at Psych Central.

If you walked with a cane and that felt better, why not? When I walk in the woods I often use a walking stick because I'm so clumsy and it does help my poor motor skills.

Also a cane would signal a physical problem. Then people probably understand at once you have not been drinking.
