(((((hugs)))) I have that kinda exhaustion but... I have all the other "stuff" too.. like fibro, asthma, ED..

For me depression causes a sense of exhaustion too...

Are you getting enough sleep and nutrition? And did the dr run enough tests to rule things out - other than thyroid...

My T made me make a list of all the meds I take and their side effects too.... when I was feeling exhausted (turned out to be the sleep apena)... but it was a good idea..

hope this helps..

Hi Skittles,

I also have obstructive sleep apnea and fibromyalgia. My sleep doctor put me on provigil which is given to people with sleep disorders. It's like a stimulant. I was falling asleep at 3 in the afternoon driving home from work.

I now take 400 mg in the morning and 200 mg at noon time. My 3 pm drive is much better. As a matter of fact, today I forgot the bottle at home and didn't take my noon time pill and I've been struggling since 5 to stay awake!

I also take Provigil to help with excessive daytime sleepiness--Concerta helps, too.

Another thing your doc should check you for is anemia. I got dxed with pernicious anemia & started getting monthly B-12 shots. It helped a lot. I also was having dizziness due to the anemia & that cleared up.--Suzy

i have the very same issues, too. i'm taking cymbalta. my pdoc just took me off of klonapin, since he thinks it is the one causing me these side effects: exhaustion, excessive sleepiness, mental fog and confusion. any activity i do nowadays knocks me out like crazy. gosh, since i've been going off of klonapin, the side effects hasn't gone away. there were times when i felt sick with nausea when i finish an activity that's a bit physical. but, it hasn't happened in the last few days, though. by the next appointment with my pdoc, we'll know for sure if it's truly the cymbalta that's doing it. i'm an unusual case with my depression. i react to meds differently. it can be weird. so, i do understand what you're going through. i've had this fatigue for such a long time, and that's due to the depression, for sure.
