So at least 2-3 times a month or less, i get these opening creases between one or two of my toes, really painful too.

My mom said

"It's water, from not drying your feet all the way."(when i get in the shower)..
But how does it happen?

My youngest daughter hand that problem and I asked her doc about it. He said it was from wearing shoes that don't let air circulate. (Moisture build up). He advised her to go barefoot as much as possible. If you can't go barefoot, wear cotton socks and shoes with ventilation or canvas shoes. Using powder in your shoes might help too.
