My doctor is putting me on Provigil for MS related fatigue. I'm just curious if anyone is on it and if so, what are you experiences?

Thanks,
Rayna

It does work well for some, but unfortunately, did nothing for me.

There is a thread about it in the Drug Forum.

More info here...

Hi Rayna,

I'm on it for Fibromyalgia and it's saving my butt!! I was falling asleep on the highway at 3 in the afternoon on the way home from work - it was getting very scary.

I started by ramping up a half a pill at a time until I was taking 200 mg tab in the a.m. and 200 mg tab at noon. I then started taking both in the a.m. and still had afternoon fatigue, so I added another 200 mg tab at noon.

It's working very well for me.

Hi Raynaadi, I was on 400 mg for over 2 years. It worked well for 2 years and then seemed to quit working...but, the 2 years were worth it. I had zero side effects, but seemed to stay awake.

Wow cool.....

Just took my first half today. 100mg. I'm not feeling sleepy but its not even 11am yet. Though normally I drag. We'll see what happens between 1 and 3 when I usually crash.

Tranquility and DePressMe, I'm glad to hear you ladies took it since we all share another common thing. I was a little concerned about taking a pill for energy. But my doctor prescribed it specifically because of my past "issues".

Wow Petunia thank you so much for finding that thread. I sure hope it works for me. I'm gonna try to believe that it will......

I wasn't to the point of falling asleep at the wheel or even taking naps, but I fight sleeping during the middle of the day. Makes for a miserable couple of hours when I refuse to sleep, but if I nap, I can't sleep at night.

The last couple days, I've been sleeping later in the morning because I've just been sooooo tired. So I really hope this helps.

Doc said a lot of her MS patients are on it. Why I've had the diagnosis for a year and have just found out about this, I don't know lol.
