DelusionsDaily,
I have had a few cortisone injections. Some areas have felt more irritated initially. After about a week or less that irritation goes away. Hopefully you will feel some improvement. ![]() |

Called the docs office. Was told its not unusual. To ice the spot and rub it. If still worse next week to call.

Today was the first day I've not had the negative results from the shot making my pain so significantly worse. It's actually back to the way it was before the shot but was definitely not a miracle shot. See the orthopedic surgeon again in about a month. We'll see what he says.

A cortizone shot really helped my elbow. (I have a partially torn tendon that has been a problem for years.) Initially, the after effects of the shot were not very comfortable. But, when that cleared up, I was much, much better for almost 6 months. I will not hesitate to get another one if needed.

Oh boy, I just agreed to another one. Had one in my spine back about 10 years ago and I still have nightmares about it. I didn't even walk into a doctors office again for about 5 years till I had an emergency, despite the constant pain.
Now my pain is SO bad. I've done 10 solid months of PT. had 3 surgeries last year for issues that might have been related, only to discover they just made it worse. Now it's down to another injection, this time into the sacroiliac joint itself (so I'm praying it doesn't hurt as bad), or surgery. I'm not letting them mess with my bones yet. So injection it is.
