I am looking for some support, someone to talk to, advice...anything. My boyfriend is in the hospital with intense pain from his gallbladder and gallstones. He has dealt with this crap for almost year, but it was just 2 weeks ago when they finally decided to check his gallbladder. He was suppose to get surgery today back at our hometown hospital, but the stone moved, and his eyes and skin were (still are) jaundiced, and the pain went through the roof. He was transferred by ambulance to a hospital 2 hours from home. I finally got here with him today, and I just feel so sad, scared, and helpless. They just gave him some pain medicine, so he is very tired. They are going to do a special scan, and something like an endoscopy to check things out. Depending on how it goes they will fix the problem and possibly remove the gallbladder. I am down here alone, 6 months pregnant (with our first child). I just want a friend or someone to talk to right now. Like I said, I am scared, worried, sad, stressed, anxious, and don't know what to do.

i hope everything goes well for the both of you. health problems are scary, especially when things get complicated and you're not sure what's going on to cause the problems/pain, what should be done, and then there's the recovery from them. but hang in there. doctors go to med school for a reason
![]() just ask questions when you don't understand or know things and hopefully things work out sooner rather than later. when there's not much you can do about health problems, that's when you have the 'spare time' to worry and stress out, but try not to. (easier said than done, trust me I know - I was in a car crash six months ago and am still having problems from/with the injuries) just think about the baby and try to stay somewhat calm, if at all possible. and good luck! ![]() p.s. July 3rd is a great day - that's my sister's birthday ![]() |
