I work at a hotel and on Thursday I am seeing my doctor about my sleepwalking, but I also want to get updated on my shots as I work at a hotel and you never know what I may come across. I know I need my tetanus shots, I have my flu shots, and I am trying to think of the name of the shot I need in case I prick my finger on a needle or syringe.
What shots do I need if I work at a hotel? |

My husband has worked a hotel for 30 years. He doesn't get any shots beyond the usual flu shot, etc. As far as getting pricked by a needle (you clean I am guessing), that has to be handled afterwards. I am a teacher and we use universal precautions to avoid contact with bodily fluids. If for some reason we were exposed, we would be tested like healthcare workers are. I have never had that happen.

Have you ever been immunized for hepatitis?

Hep b can be transmitted by a needle. That's likely the one you are thinking about.

Long day today. I am currently being tested for sleep disorders, but I got my HPV shot and I will have two more, one next month, and one six months from now. I had blood work done to see if I need the Hep B because the nurse said girls my age should have been tested in 7th grade and the doctor wanted to see if there are anti-bodies in my blood, if not, I get another Hep B shot.
