For the past I guess year or more I've been dealing with constant shortness of breath. Not sure what causes it. I go to the docs and they say nothing is wrong with me and that it's anxiety or something. I got an inhaler from one but it does nothing to stop it. I get really dizzy and lightheaded at times and it's torture to be constantly out of breath a lot. Sometimes it gets better but sometimes it gets worse. It's daily and starts from when I wake up and sometimes throughout the day it seems to get better perhaps because I am distracted.

It makes me feel suicidal because I am having trouble dealing with this on a daily basis. It comes and goes and I don't know what to do about it. Docs don't seem to know either. It's incredibly hard to deal with at times and I have trouble talking at times because I am so labored with my breathing.

I am 23 years old but sometimes I just want to die while I am in the midst of a breathing fit.

Have you seen a pulmonologist for testing?
If not, you, you may want to request a referral.

I got an xray done, EKG, and blood work. All came back normal, blood pressure was 120/80. The doctor didn't know what it was and was pushing me that if it continues that I should go to the ER. I don't have insurance though so. What am I to do?

Update: I went and saw a pulmonologist. Right now she is saying I have sleep apnea so she wants me to go in for sleep study so. Will see how that goes in a bit. Not quite sure yet about details or when exactly that would happen. Not sure if that is even going to be the cure.
