So I'm on day 2½ of a prednisone induced anxiety attack. Every time it's just about gone it's time for another pill. I need the pills right now, my tennis elbow flared so out of control I practically lost the use of my right arm. Even twitching my fingers caused horrible pain in my elbow. At the rate the pain is receding I'm worried 5 days of steroids won't be enough. Yet pounding heart and slightly sick stomach and feeling an urgent need to breathe deeply all day and night is not fun.

Prednisone did the exact same thing to me. I've experienced anaphylactic shock, and it bumped the anxiety up to that level. I'm sorry that you're experiencing these symptoms on it as well... best of luck to you, and a virtual hug. I hope you like dogs, if not I'm sorry. I've attached a picture of one of my dogs looking cute for you! Feel better soon! Steroid side effects - need a hugSteroid side effects - need a hug

Me too - I have to take it when my asthma gets bad but it makes me feel very vulnerable, like all my defences are down.

One full day off it. It's so nice to be relaxed. Thanks for the hugs and the puppy.

I might be needing round 2 of steroids and hugs. My other arm has been achy painful for a few weeks, I've been ignoring it, and then yesterday and today the pain has gone crazy. And it feels exactly how the tendonitis in my problem arm feels. Two separate "ow" spots as well, not just one.

I've already got in the first arm tennis elbow, golfer's elbow and tenosynovitis, plus bursitis in the shoulder, scar tissue from an AC separation causing cartilage damage/arthritis, and weakened muscles. I'm actually in tears right now. My medication is good, my mood is stable, but if I've gotten yet another area of my body affected by tendonitis....I feel like physically I'm falling apart.
