Two years in a row this has happened. I go tanning cause it makes me feel better or so I think. Last year after over tanning I recived a boil for christmas. Never in my life have I had one. I am a chicken. I mean a big chicken, Went to the drs last year said you can look do not touch. "meaning he can not lance it" he gave me meds and sent me on the way. MAke a long story short. With in a week was back begging for him to lance it. by then nope to late. So stronger antobics"sorry spelled wrong" it went away.

This year thinking if I washed the beds out I would be fine and well not go as much. Well now 2 or 3 weeks before christmas I got a lump under my arm"well off to the side"
This year cause of location and it being a lump of course It scared the crap out of me. I knew it...was a boil and was from tanning but still because of where I grew up the thought were there............any woo went to Drs this morning, cause well it hurt....LOL yes yes its a small boil ,,,,yes yes from tanning......but just to make sure they did blood work. Moral to story if you hear I am going tanning,......ahhh tell me no...unless its outside......oh yea I get to take meds again to make it gone......phew

Boils are caused by staph infections, not skin irritations.

I don't even shave my legs closer than 24 hours before I have my pedicure, just for safety.

Tanning, whether inside or out is not good for you ((((hugs)))

Since the tanning irritates your skin which already has the staph bacteria on it (It's everywhere! It's everywhere!) and makes your skin/cells much less able to fight it (tanning ruptures some cells, as in burns/boils them), voila, you got boil!

tanning seems to have brought it out sky. and only in tanning bed, As I had never used a tanning bed before last year. That was the first time I had one. This year it came out same time as tanning bed, Weather the bed has it infected somehow. Or I am alergic to the cleaner, or the heat from the bed brought it out.
EIther way they did blood work to make sure I am not ill. To make sure its the tanning bed.
I am dark skinned and love the real sun. No its not good for you. But I grew up near Love canel so well its not a worry .....the real sun...in fact the least of my worrys. But ty

Perna thank you so much for the link you put up,it explained alot to me. As I was real scared the first time it happened. AS working all the time i let it go and was very very ill. You think i would have learned. TY
