Oh angie...that is uncomfy isn't it!! I know, I have bad knees too and when they ache..the whole body is out of whack it seems.

If you can sit with some pillows under your knees to take the stress off them...with your legs up of course...like in a recliner that might help a little of the swelling.

Also, I've found that moist heat for 10-20 minutes followed by some ice for 10-20 minutes and do this every hour or two, might help with the pain and with the swelling.

Sure do hope you feel better soon!

try anti-inflammatory and painkillers this will help as the anti-inflammatory will reduce swelling and shoulld ease the pain also take regulary not just when needed untill knees feel better

Angie, been having a bout of gout. LOL No, it's not funny. It was the way I worded it. LOL

Anyway, while surfing the web looking for home remedies, I found an article that suggests that one take 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass full of water. It helps the Naproxen work better. I tried it and it worked! The pain was gone in less than 15 minutes! Only thing is... you gotta watch how much baking soda you use in a day because it RAISES YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE! If you're on a restricted salt intake, I wouldn't try it. I hope you're not, that's why I thought I'd share what I just found out.
