I’m a fifty year old male with early onset Parkinson’s I’m hoping to find some support here and a place to vent my frustrations with the symptoms of PD. So I will browse the site to see where I fit in or if there are suggestions I’d love to know. One of the things that has changed for me is that I’m more compulsive and getting very “adventurous “ in my dreams which sometimes are trying to become reality. So here I am.
Thanks for this!

Welcome to Psych Central, MaigerTom. You might also like to check out Psych Central's sister website: NeuroTalk. Here's a link just in case you're unfamiliar with it:

The Health Support forum, here on PC, may be one to take a look at. Here's a link just in case you haven't already found it:

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

Hey MaigerTom, My Dad had essential tremours so I know abit what you're going thru. My dad was a hard nut. Meaning he had brain stimulators and none stopped the tremours. Medicines up the ying yang. Dad didn't like to eat out because of his tremours. We, siblings, called him Shaky. You have to laugh or else you would cry....
I'm on your side, my dear.

My girlfriend's husband had Parkinson's.

One of the things I learned from her is that the medications can cause compulsiveness or impulsiveness. Her husband developed a strong desire to gamble which he never had before, and other inappropriate behaviors due to his meds.

Maybe let your doctor know if anything like this pops up before it gets you in trouble.
Example: Inappropriate sexual advances to women. You don't want to come across as a pervert, especially if it's not who you are, but the meds talking. Another could be excessive shopping.
