I've been on benadryl by choice for sleep for about 2.5 weeks and I've noticed a pretty big increase in my hunger. I've gone up maybe 8 pounds in legit weight. But I also started vistril for anxiety and I take testerone injections which I went off for 2 weeks for health concerns and then I restarted it 3 weeks ago this Friday. All 3 of those meds I started around the same time about 3 weeks ago.
I'm just wondering if its the benadryl because I had a bad stomach ache and after I took it I got kind of hungry. I've been so hungry lately Its gotten to the point where I dont even try to control things because I know I'll just get frustrated and something worse then eating a candy bar may end up happening if I get too frustarted by trying to control my appetite. But does anyone know anything about this or have any suggestions?

When i first started taking topamax, it made my stomach hurt which i mistook as hunger pangs. My prescribing psychiatrist said that i should take a tagamet (cimetidine) rather than eat to ease the pain.

Yeah it seems to have been the benadryl. Also the other stuff wasnt helping. But it was mostly the benadryl. Hopefully the situation has been fixed. I threw out my last 2 bendaryl and started something new, I threw out my vistril, and I switched my weekly injections to biweekly. Well my doctor suggested I do it for other reasons unrealted to hunger and weight. But hopefully these 10 pounds comes off.
The topamax doesnt seem to lessen my appetite it just kinda makes losing weight easier. But my moods seem to have improved on it.
