I've heard of some doctors recommending to alternate between paracetamol and ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours.

Do you have any idea what these cramps are related to? Sometimes it can be bowel irregularity . . . for me, anyway.

At least some of it is "time of the month"

Long ago, I went a few years where I got horrid "monthly" cramps. I'ld feel like I could almost collapse. A heating pad helped. When the cramping was so bad that I had to leave work, I decided to see our family doctor. He put me on something that contained codeine. That med was a tremendous help.

I would recommend that anyone taking codeine should take a laxative with it.
