Like because of actual pain? I've been told by my therapist to snack my way through the day even if its just chips and soda, but I can't even do much of that right now. I am on a cancellation list for my doctor but my appointment is in 2 weeks. Protein shakes hurt my stomach too. Pretty much going without eating is what works best for me right now.

But what would my gastro doctor do? I really don't want a tube down my nose.

What were the results of your endoscopy? Did they recommend a diet?
Thanks for this!

It said on my portal this morning "the biopsies from the gastroesphagus junction show evidence of refulx related inflammation, but no precancerous changes"

Idk. That sounds like a bunch of doctor jargon for acid refulx or GERD.

They told me what to eat in the ER which is hard to figure out with my food related issues since it eliminates pretty much every thing I do eat. The nurse kept talking about eating grilled chicken and salads or something.

They used to think that milk was good for an ulcer, but then they realizdd it wasnt, so maybe thats why protein shakes hurt.

I guess if soda and chips dont hurt, then thats good, right? Even if the ER said not to.
Thanks for this!

I think my cast iron stomach is offically closed. I can't do those weird food combinations anymore. I had an apple pie bagel and half an egg cheese pepper corn hot cream cheese sandwhich and a chocolate cream cold brew at 8:30 and I was just able to function an hour ago because none of my stomach meds were working. I needed to eat bland plain black bean pasta to fix things.

The joys of turning 30 I guess.

They can give you a feeding tube worse case scenario. Medication I assume.

Definitely don’t put this down to turning 30, what you’re experiencing isn’t normal.

Chips and soda seem like they might aggravate an acidic stomach but if it’s working okay. How about soups/purees?

When my dad thought he had an ulcer many years ago he ended up eating jarred baby food, it actually turned out to be appendicitis so he was fine once they took it out. But if you’ve had a gastroscopy they’ll have checked that out.
Thanks for this!

My son has always had reflux (really severe even in infancy), and in the past few months it’s gotten worse with a vengeance ( he’s 34). He’s discovered he can’t do red meat, particularly hamburger. And dairy is not his friend either. We’ve gone to vegan “meats”, turkey, pork, which are definitely easier on his digestive system. He’s going in for an appointment with the gastroenterologist soon to see if IBS is the problem. But eating healthier, avoiding rich, greasy food, and eating in smaller portions has helped.
Thanks for this!

My GI doctor really thinks its my gallbladder. I saw him on Thursday. He did a physical exam of my stomach and pressed in different spots and asked what place hurt more. Then he had me bend my knees and said it was internal.

I also have a high blood level. Liapaine or something. It has to do with my pancreas. He said my gallbladder could be leaking stuff into my pancreas.

He wants to do a gallbladder image test and then a follow up appointment with him. I'm on another PPI and I'm just waiting until radiology calls to set up the test. So far the new PPI is working along with all my other stomach meds and tylenol but things can still be tough.

I had saltine crackers and water for dinner and things are still rough. During the morning things were ok.

I've been super agitated and frustrated all night. I woke up really hot but with a temp of 96.8. Now its 96.2 but I'm really hot. My stomach hurt but I took tylenol. I know you can sometimes get infections and have low temps.
