I have another soda related question.
What happens when you stop drinking it? Do good things happen like do you lose a lot of weight?

Diet soda includes zero sodas increase your chances of developing diabetes and weight gain from the chemicals. There’s studies that show the zero and diet sodas are worse for you than moderate amounts of regular soda. But both are bad for you.
I’ve never read anything though on what happens to the body when you quit. It probably starts repairing itself. The organs no longer need to work as hard to process the chemicals

Some soda (and flavored iced teas) are very acidic. When you eliminate these drinks, you should expect less erosion of your teeth. Also, your body will have an easier time maintaining blood PH; it won't pull as much calcium from your bones and teeth to raise PH. Carbonation might also lead to accumulation of carbonic acid, causing the body to work even harder to maintain blood PH.
The above is irrespective of whether the soda has sugar, corn syrup or low cal sweetener. All this comes from memory; I wish I had time to cite references, sorry! Until I do, you should think of this as BS or verify it on your own.

Well if you drink soda (not a diet version), you consume ton of sugar. So it’s fair to say if you limit sugar intake, you might lose weight. But I’d say since you’ve been throwing up every day several times a day, you lose a lot of nutrients and likely weight. I’d not worry about weight, I’d worry about health overall

Divine1966 is correct; if you drink a soda sweetened with high fructose corn syrup or the Coca-Cola brand that boasts about natural sugar, Interesting things happen for most. You will most likely drop weight, and your A1C blood value will go down significantly in some people. If it is a soda containing caffeine, some adverse effects can amount to withdrawal from the caffeine. Just one teaspoon of caffeine equals around 28-30 cups of coffee. This can cause mild irritability and nervousness; you may crave sugar and caffeine if it is a sugary soda. It can elevate your blood pressure slightly and increase your heart rate. All of these effects should pass relatively quickly. Their severity is usually proportional to your daily consumption; it can also cause headaches. If you can tolerate it and get a headache, acetaminophen is good as long as it is not contraindicated. It won't destroy your stomach like Ibuprofen does with man. They taught me a few things at Vanderbilt, after all.
