double vision before a migraine? I've had the double vision before but never with a head ache afterwards.

I get the aura of a migraine quite often but hardly ever more than just a very mild, dull headache after.

I slept most of the afternoon but not a deep sleep. I was aware of what was going on in other parts of the house.

I'm not liking this. Does anyone have...

So talk to me, Be. What do you get double vision from? Do you get an aura before a migraine?

You didn't offend me at all! Does anyone have... I meant it from a medical standpoint. Does anyone have... There's several "things" that I have that aren't your "normal" so doctors have to really work at giving me a dx or try to figure out what's wrong with me, ya know? Does anyone have...

Looking back, it acted like the aura before a migrane. I had been repressing some feelings of anger and helplesness from the day before. It's all straightened out now. Does anyone have...

I have heard of double vision with migraines but I have never had the challenges of them. My Aunt does though. She has to go to hospital for shots when her migraines hit.

I admire your strength and resilience amongst all of this. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks for the validation, Ingri! It makes me feel a whole lot better. Luckily, I've only had the major pain twice in my life. When I have just the aura, the pain matches the length of time the aura stays which is usually not long at all.

I've had the double vision before but never a headache with it. It was kind of scary. Does anyone have... I have a very tiny headache still but not enough to take anything for it. The anxiety/panic is worse! A little pink pill will take care of that, though. Does anyone have...

I bet it is scary. I had migraines only twice and that was because the doc put me on estrogen. He took me off of it really fast. Otherwise, I have never had migraines occur or even headaches in general until I went to university lol.

I hope you are okay. BIG HUGS and lots of darkness. ;-)

I haven't had double vision but I have had different visual warnings... it is a "prodrome."

Visual changes such as flashing or flicks of light, or halos are called auras, but other "premonitions" are called prodromes.

It could be emotional changes, burst of energy, visual issues beyond "light" connected and the like. They are often difficult to nail down because some can occur a day or two ahead of a migraine!

I have many different types, and often forget that I need to take my medicine right THEN. Does anyone have...

((((feel better))))

Migraine's are crap whatever the symptoms, and if you're anything like me...where they can incapacitate you for days....even worse. Hope the docs find something that works for you soon.

Thank God they don't happen too often! I haven't had any trouble with them since I had my glasses changed, but I got a call from my eye doctor last week saying that I was due for another exam. My eyes and the double vision proved that, I guess! Does anyone have...

Things that I can't readily explain about my health trigger me more than anything else. Does anyone have...

Thank you for your kindness, Hon. I really appreciate it. Does anyone have...

Or I have to buy HUGE ones to go on top of my regular glasses because the prescription ones are so expensive. They'e so ugly! Gotta do something, though. Does anyone have...

So what you're saying is that there are several different warning signs? Just my luck that I can't stick to one and it being the most usual. Does anyone have...

I'm pretty sure that mine had an emotional stressor. Being slightly stressed working up the business proposal and then this sudden perceived "danger" didn't help any. It could have been a burst of energy finding out that there was no danger after all. A sudden release of stress?

Why can't I just be normal?? LOL I don't take many everyday things in step like I used to. Does anyone have... But then again, I repressed for a long time. Guess I'm still doing it to a certain extent. Does anyone have...

Thanks for you support and empathy, Ladies. It helps a whole bunch! Does anyone have...

What I had to learn was that it doesn't matter what has caused the migraine (at the time) but to take the medicine and not argue with it or yourself. Any delay in treating the (impending) migraine can result in it being more severely and lasting longer. I found myself trying to reason with them, oh, if I eat something now, it must be because I haven't eaten... and those types of arguments... that don't matter right then. Once you have the onset of a migraine, you just have to treat it, imo.

There are even opthalmolgic migraines. I have them also. (Caused by eye issues.)

AND there are "no pain" migraines. But these, too, still need to be treated as the body is battling it. If you have prodromes and auras and think you aren't having migraines, reconsider and talk with your doctor.

I get migraines, but I don't get double vision. The only thing that really bothers me is when I move my eyes it hurts my head.

I've got two meds that are supposed to reduce the possibility of a migraine but neither one of them is specifically for that reason.

I had a doctor a few years ago that told me to come in as soon as I got the aura. When I had those cluster headaches, he gave me a shot, but as soon as I got home, I got another one. Does anyone have... Haven't had a doctor treat me for them since. Does anyone have... My MD now knows about them. Guess I'll bring it up to her again next time I see her.
